Instead of writing tags you can use the buttons under the smilies (except color tags).

2. How to use chat?

You must be a registered user and in options select 'Chat: Active'.
Attention: when you write a message in chat you shouldn't refresh the entire page, because your message will be duplicated. Please use the "Refresh" button at the top right corner of the chat window.

3. What are the ranks and how to get a promotion?

There are 7 ranks:

1. Newbie

4. What are karma, fame and the colored boxes labelled "Your vote"?

Karma - It's the attitude towards you on the forum, the total of all votes. It can be different colors: green - positive, red - negative.

Fame shows the score of all votes, counting formula: number_of_messages/50.

"Colored boxes" - it's a scale, you can vote for other people with it. White box means neutral attitude, orange - negative (from -5 on the left to -1 near the white box), green - positive (from +1 near the white box to +5 on the right).

All votes depreciate over time.

In every user's profile there is a list of all people who have voted for him or her. Numbers in brackets show how much fame was added.

5. How to select an avatar?

You can select one of the standard avatars (more than 150) if you are a Pilot. You can do this from the options page. Absence of the button [Select avatar] means that your rank isn't high enough yet.

A Fighter is able to upload his own avatar. It must be 50õ50 pixels, less than 5 Kb and one of the following types: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif .

6. How to attach a file to a message?

Only Wingmen can attach files to messages. In the right bottom corner of your last message click [Attach file]. There is a limitation: file must be less that 1Mb and one of next types: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .zip.

7. What do the icons by the names of threads mean?

- pinned thread, it is always on top;
- closed thread, you can't post here;
- there are new messages since your last visit.

Also there are icons on the left of the name of the thread (like etc.), that were chosen by the author to attract attention to the thread. They hint at the meaning or importance of the thread.

8. Why do some members have the title "Unworthy"?

It means that this user was banned. He or she can't post or edit messages.

9. What are "guerillas"?

Guerillas are unregistered users. They can only vote and read the forum.

10. Why are some users' nicknames orange?

These users are administrators. They can moderate the forum. Also some other moderators have blue nicknames. They can moderate the forum too, but they have less rights than administrators.

11. What are administrators and moderators?

They enforce the rules of the forum, delete forbidden messages and threads, move threads to the correct section of the forum or close them, warn users, reward, ban, etc. If you disagree with a moderator's actions you can post your claims in the "Moderators' Council" (section "Miscellaneous"), but remember the motto "Moderator is always right". ;)

New moderators are not needed at the moment. If needed, administrators will communicate with suitable people.

12. I get letters in my e-mail from "Robot of Elemental Games Forum", how do I prevent this?

It means that you are subscribed to one or more threads on this forum. If you want to get rid of it you will need to Unsubscribe to each of these threads. After getting a letter you need to:
- use the link on the top of letter;
- click "Unsubscribe" on the bottom and the left of page.
